early June, 2010, Spotter Network rolled out a new ranking system for its spotters. The goal is simple: SN wants the
highest quality reports. But they are also out to distinguish the difference between "above average" spotters and "average"

Spotter Network Requirements Are you a member of Spotter Network? If you want to make reports via Spotter Network you must take a training
course and pass a test. If you don't take/pass the test, your won't be able to make reports through Spotter Network.
More info about the test here. Also, effective immediately, Spotter Network will now be displaying the user's first and last name instead of
"usernames." More info here.
Storm Reports Via Twitter An experimental
program that will allow you to "tweet" your weather reports. More information and instructions can be found here.
Metro Skywarn Spotters Must Pass Test In 2010 Persons
wishing to spot for Metro Skywarn must now pass the test with 70% or better. More info here.

Severe Thunderstorm Hail Size The National Weather Service has changed
the criteria for a severe thunderstorm warning from 3/4" hail (penny size) to 1" (quarter size) for the entire U.S. in January,
